Thursday, April 09, 2009 For over two years I've been meaning to add to edit #1. I'm still getting round to it. This is the image that is my constant reminder. I bought my MacBook around the same time that I visited Mike in Beirut, and I've had this as my desk-top image ever since. It's a picture of building in Martyrs' Square that originally contained a cinema before it became another victim of the Lebanese civil war. As soon as I saw it I was drawn in by the curve and the fall-off of the shadow. It reminded me of a Toni Frissell photograph I had been admiring right before my trip.
