Saturday, April 04, 2009 Rattled off a few standard portraits of a new hair stylist for an ad job yesterday. Then thought it would be more fun to do something they (or I) weren't expecting. Black and white for starters. Tight crop. A ton more dodging and burning than usual. A duplicate layer on top with gaussian blur, with a layer-mask on top to keep the eyes/lashes/brows, scissors, nails, ring sharp. Another duplicate layer with a high-pass, layer-mode set to overlap to bring out the edges.
